Impasto fabric - perfect for upholstery?

Every year all the top fabric brands launch dozens of new fabric collections. 2012 is no exception. Have you ever wondered which would look good on your new chairs?

This Autumn, Harlequin has launched a dramatic, uninhibited and vibrant collection called Impasto which has been inspired by the free, painterly style and light-reflecting techniques of the Impressionist movement.

Impasto fabric by Harlequin on a chaise longue.

Its prints and weaves are breathtaking in their liberated designs and intensity of colour. To achieve such a strikingly individual, artistic effect, each design has been hand-painted, drawing heavily on rich painterly textures and colours.

This technique has been beautifully and sympathetically interpreted onto shimmering silks, cottons and sumptuous eye-catching velvets and weaves. Burgeoning florals, abstract geometrics, abundant blooms, graceful hummingbirds and ombré stripes come together in this thought-provoking, eye-pleasing, sensory delight of a collection.

If you'd like get samples of Impasto or would like to see the fabric in the flesh please do pop into our shop.

This could be an early success this Autumn. Watch this space.
